🃏 Browsing a Stack

While you are not typing in a field:

Next card
Previous card
Flip the current card F
Find in this stack Cmd + F
Create a new card Cmd + N
Open or close the Message Box (your own stacks) Cmd + M
Recent cards Cmd + R

🎨 Paint Mode

While painting a card:

Pencil, Brush, EraserP B E
Line, Spray, Rectangle, OvalL S R O

All Stacks

On All stacks:

Open search and commands /

Canvas

With the Canvas board or a card on it focused:

Zoom in / out + -
Fit every card 0
Pan the board
Move the focused card (editors; Shift for larger steps)
Undo the last move or Line up (editors) Cmd + Z
Place a dragged card off the grid Alt + drag
In Find a card: next / previous match, clear Enter Shift + Enter Esc

Search & Commands

Anywhere, including presentation mode:

Open search and commands Cmd + K
Close search and commands Cmd + K or Esc
Next / previous command or Tab Shift + Tab or Ctrl + N Ctrl + P
First / last result Home End
Jump through results Page Up Page Down
Back to all commands from a stack list (empty search) Backspace

Home Stack List

On the Home card's stack list:

Move between stacks
First / last stack Home End
Open the first stack matching the filter (or search every card) Enter
Clear the filter Esc

Menus

When a header or toolbar menu is open:

Move between options
First / last option Home End
Close and return to the menu button Esc

Custom Stack Shortcuts

In a stack script:

Handle any key on the card page on keydown
Keep a built-in action from also running halt the event

Open Help Center → Scripting for examples and modifier keys.

Textareas

While typing in a text area:

Indent the current or selected lines Tab
Remove one indentation level Shift + Tab

🛠 Edit Mode

On a card:

Toggle edit / browse Cmd + E
Undo current-page changes (outside text inputs) Cmd + Z
Redo current-page changes Cmd + Shift + Z
Add screen after this one Cmd + N
Duplicate the current screen Cmd + D
Copy / cut / paste selected part Cmd + C Cmd + X Cmd + V
Delete the selected parts Delete or Backspace
Add a part to the selection, or take it out Shift + click
Select every part on the layer you are editing Cmd + A
Nudge the selected parts (8px; 32px with Shift)
Nudge one pixel at a time Alt +
Drag or resize without snapping Alt + drag
Deselect and close the inspector Esc

🎞 Storyboard

With a card selected in the storyboard:

Select the next or previous card
Select the first or last card Home End
Move the card earlier or later (stacks you can edit) Alt + ← Alt + →

Card Navigator

In View > Navigator:

Open the first card that matches the filter Enter
Move through the list Home End
Move the focused card earlier or later in the stack Alt + ↑ Alt + ↓
Choose more cards Shift + ↑ Shift + ↓ Cmd + A
Cut, copy or paste the chosen cards Cmd + X Cmd + C Cmd + V
Duplicate or delete the chosen cards Cmd + D Delete
Open the card menu Shift + F10
Clear the filter and Marked, then close the navigator Esc

Move Cards Between Stacks

In Card > Move to stack…:

Copy the dragged cards instead of moving them Alt / Option + drop
Cancel a drag Esc

Stack Windows

In a window's card strip:

Copy the card instead of moving it Alt + drag
Move the focused card earlier or later in its stack Alt + ← Alt + →
Cancel a drag Esc

Outline

In the editable outline:

From a card name to its first text box Enter
Move the card up or down (in its name or number) Alt + ↑ Alt + ↓

☰ List & Checklist Items

On an item of an unlocked list or checklist:

Edit this item's text F2 or click text
Save the text Enter
Put back what was there Esc
Move a checklist item or

◎ Focus Mode

On a card with a styled paragraphs field:

Focus on the field, or leave focus ⌘ ⌥ F · Ctrl + Alt + F
Leave focus Esc

↶ Undo Across Reloads

On a card, when you are not typing in a field:

Undo my last change in this stack ⌘ ⌥ Z · Ctrl + Alt + Z
Redo it ⌘ ⌥ ⇧ Z · Ctrl + Alt + Shift + Z

¶ Styled Paragraphs

Typing in a styled paragraphs field:

End the paragraph and start the next style Enter
Break the line inside a paragraph Shift Enter
Change to the next or previous style Tab or Shift Tab
Pick a style by its number ⌘ ⌥ 1–9 · Ctrl + Alt + 1–9
Take a suggestion then Enter or Tab
Join with the paragraph above Backspace at its start

🔤 Text Size

Anywhere:

Increase text size Cmd + +
Decrease text size Cmd + −
Actual size Cmd + 0
